LONDON - The Royal family has taken back the invitation to the Syrian ambassador to the United Kingdom to attend the Royal Wedding.

The decision was made hours before the Royal Wedding and after numerous critics from the British Congress raised their concerns that his attendance may pose threat to the event.

Foreign Secretary William Hague said Syrian Ambassador Smai Khiyami's presence is "unacceptable", noting the attacks against civilians by the Syrian security forces. (Sunnex)
