MANILA -- President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino on Wednesday formed the Presidential Situation Room (PSR) where events with national security implications will be monitored.

The creation of the PSR came following the botched rescue operation during the August 23 hostage incident.

Aquino tasked National Security Adviser Cesar Garcia to appoint personnel that will man the PSR.

Garcia will serve as PSR Executive Director while Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa and Presidential Management Staff Secretary Julia Abad will join him in the job. (Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
