17 teams see action as Nofa-DFL futsal kicks off today

SEVENTEEN teams from various schools and clubs in the province will converge Saturday, November 9, for the Nofa-Dynamic Football League (DFL) 2nd Conference Futsal Tournament at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center (Nompac).

This event features local talents competing in 2 age groups.

Seeing action for the Boys born 2009-2010 are Pontevedra Futboleros, Don Bosco Technical Institute (DBTI) Greywolves, DBTI-Altiora Quiaro, University of St. La Salle-Integrated School, St. John’s Institute FC, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos and San Enrique FC.

Meanwhile, competing for the Girls born 2004-2005 are Pontevedra Futboleros A and B, Bata Tigers, USLS-IS, SJI FC, Panthers FC, UNO-R, DBTI, and Silay FC A and B.

This sports undertaking is part of NOFA’s grassroots development program under the leadership of Ricky Yanson Jr. - which aims to provide a competitive avenue for aspiring futsal players to enhance their skills and develop camaraderie among their fellow players.

Invited to grace the opening rites is Governor Eugenio “Bong” Lacson.
