2 Negrense trackers in SEAG athletics

TWO Negrense athletes will be part of the Philippine Athletics Team who will be competing in the 30th Southeast Asian Games (SEAG) at the New Clark City in Pampanga.

The 18-year-old Anne Katherine Quitoy will be tested in her first SEAG appearance as she competes for the women's javelin throw.

Quitoy, a student at Romanito Maravilla Sr. National High School in Bacolod City, last delivered a gold medal for the Philippines when she topped the 12th Asean School Games held from July 22-26 in Semarang in Central Java, Indonesia.

Also seeing action in the SEAG women's hurdles event is 18-year-old Bernalyn Bejoy from Romanito Maravilla Sr. National High School.

Bejoy, who finished silver in the 400-meter hurdle during the Asean School Games.

With their accomplishments in their respective events, both athletes are getting an offer to study college in the US.
