BCY, ASSFBI pace Open Trios duckpin elims

DEFENDING champions BCY 2 and ASSFBI Ladies paced their divisions on Tuesday after six rounds in the 19th BCBC Open Trios Duckpin Bowling League 2018 ongoing elimination phase at Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

First running BCY 2 bowlers of Bobby Yap has a three-game score of 295-335-346 maintaining their hold in the twice-to-beat advantage in the championship round. The defending champs had an aggregate 6,031 pinfalls.

Sister-team BCY La Filipina has lines of 315-351-347 (5,966), just a pin ahead of running second NPBC with 296-350-368 (5,967).

Completing the top six in the men's division are KMH First Standard Finance, 5,844; Davies 1, 5,808; and ESD Solid Strikers 1, 5,651, which will be divided into two brackets and play the up-the-ladder system.

In the distaff side, the multi-titled top seed ASSFBI led by Sylvia del Rosario are on top with highest three-game 1,027 pfs on a 338-357-332.

Rounding up the top four ladies groups are ASSFBI, 5,512; RJ Star, 5,431; KMH First Standard Finance, 5,367; and 5,239.

Some 15 teams for the men's and seven for the women's divisions joined the league organized by the officers and members of BCBC headed by Edgar Jerez.

Games are played every Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
