Bracket leaders secure edge in ladder finals on April 21

BRACKET leaders Class ‘96, 2000up, and C’80 secured the twice-to-beat advantage as they await the challenger in the up-the-ladder finals tomorrow of the 2018 NOHSAAI Bowling Festival for Unity-2nd Conference hosted by NOHS '93 at Negros Super Lanes.

Top seed C'96 anchored by top caliber duckpinners Cyril Mayordomo and Gladys Leonardo led bracket “A” followed by 1st conference champ '94, defending titleholder ‘85, ‘95 and one-time titlist ‘90.

First seed 2000up backstopped by 2-time Master Bowler Raymund Galvan paced bracket “B” followed by ‘99, ‘68, Golden, and host-batch ‘93; while ‘80 spearheaded bracket “C” followed by ‘70, ‘65, ‘88, and ‘98.

Highest recorded score after the eliminations include: individual - highest pinning by Joemarie Jopillo of ‘87 and Eveline Lingco of ‘93, in a single game by Mark Andren of ‘90 and Ronella Cordero of ‘89, in triple by Essho Garcia of ‘95 and Cordero, and team - highest single by ‘96, in triple by ‘97.

This five-man bowlfest is headed by duckpin director Alex Fantilanan of ‘93 with protocol officer Glori Reynaldo Libo-on of ‘89 under the leadership of incoming Silver Jubilee alumni overall chairman Citoy Taño.

Ladder and consolation games will be played this Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
