FYR Fyter Heineken swept the elimination round with a seventh straight win against Iron Selk/Yong Lions Tanduay Ice, 101-92, while J Squared-Colt 45 came from behind to beat Madz-Manila Beer, 77-68, in the Class A of Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup at BTTHS Po Hang Gym.

Madz was in the driver's seat, 60-56, going to the fourth quarter, but a balanced J Squared offense led by Sonny Abaring, Ryan Maningo and Chad Paez combining for 17 points and limiting Madz to eight markers sealed the victory.

J Squared took the 1st quarter but surrendered the lead at the half, 34-31, as Madz’s Marc Linaja, Joemil Garrido, Peewee Demonteverde and Abaring delivered.

Bayhon led J Squared with 17 points, Demonteverde and Abaring made 14 a piece, Maningo, 10; Paez, 9, and Carl John Oquindo, 8.

Madz was spearheaded by Sanchez with 14 points, Linaja, 11; dela Peña, 10; Toto Bracamonte, 8 and Jifter Gigje, 7.

Fyr Fyter pulled away in the 3rd canto, 81-68, from a 45-43 halftime advantage. Coleen Testa knocked down 11 markers as Jhan Nermal and Robbie Jalandoon combined 14 points while Jaybee Alic scored 10 for the Young Lions.

Nermal sizzled with 30 points, Testa added 18, Jalandoon, 14; Nikee Montalvo, 12 and Tommy Andren , 7 .

Ricky Despi paced Iron Elk/Young Lion with 25 points, Alic added 23,Cieremor Taronas, 14; Pepino, 8, Carlo Wong and Bam Gilbor with 7 each. (HGD)
