GAB notifies Blackwater of health protocol violation

Sunnexdesk

FOLLOWING the reports that Philippine Basketball Association's (PBA) Blackwater Elite held their team practice, the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) has written Elite's Board Governor Silliman Sy for allegedly failing to comply with the existing health and safety protocols required by the IATF and the Department of Health.

In a letter signed by GAB Abraham Khalil Mitra, Blackwater Elite allegedly engaged in physical conditioning activities last week without prior approval from this government agency.

Stated in the letter, GAB required Blackwater to show cause in writing within three days upon receipt of the notice and explain why disciplinary action should not be taken against the team.

GAB also reminded the team that although IATF already approved team training, GAB and DOH have yet to sign the Joint Administrative Order that will serve as the implementing guidelines that will govern the conduct of professional and non-professional sports training while the country is under community quarantine.
