ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2020, Rotary District 3790 through the Rotary Club of Baguio Summer Capital (RCBSC) donated 10-kilogram bags of rice to 106 persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Barangay Balacbac Sto. Tomas Proper.

Barangay Captain Josephine Balusdan was very happy to be chosen out of the 128 barangays to receive donations on behalf of their community.

Mixed Martial Artist Eduard "Landslide” Folayang and coach Mark Sangiao of Team Lakay graced this activity. The group performed the Cañao to bless the gifts.

RCBSC Rotarians Joey Ahn and Peter Cating chaired the project with Wendell Aplaten, PP Rommel Alcid, PP Albert Atiwag, Jun Bambalan, PP Edward Dogui-is, Nathaneil Gam-ad, Federico Quiambao, Club Secretary Jumel Oliver Salva, Marcelino Samonte and Delfin Tokyas as members of the committee.

In support were RI District Governor Jess Sama, RC Villa De Bacolor President and Chief of Staff Jerry Tullao and Percival Panopio, respectively.

“Hanggang meron kaming nakikita na nangangailangan ng tulong, hindi titigil ang Rotary”, says Governor Jess.

The rice donation came from the Rotary Clubs of RI District 3730 of South Korea, namely, RC Gangneung Yulgok, RC Sokcho Eunsol, and RC Wonju through the kindness of PP Yu Daibong. God is good! Photos by Osharé.
