8 La Trinidad sites eyes opening for locals

EIGHT tourist spots in La Trinidad, Benguet are eyed to open for residents only.

After Mount Costa and Avong ni Romy opened to La Trinidad residents, Darjanes, Garden nen Ines, Lily of the Valley, Cosmic Farm, Bell Church, Living Gifts Nursery, Cordillera Farms and Mt. Kalugong were inspected by the La Trinidad Safety Protocols and Monitoring Team.

Another final validation and issuance of a certificate of compliance of health protocols are needed before these establishments can re-open.

The team inspected the tourist spots and checked the minimum health protocols, safety and security in the area, entry and exit, guided tours, and waiting area.

Based on the Department of Tourism (DOT)-Cordillera Administrative Region online list of local destinations accepting visitors amid the Covid-19 pandemic, most tourist spots in the region have opened to residents only.

As of October 15, DOT said swimming pools and resorts in Itogon and tourists spots in Kapangan, both in Benguet Province are open to residents only.

In Tuba, Benguet, tourist spots will soon open to Baguio City residents pending the Executive Order from the Office of the Mayor.

In Abra, Ar-arbis Falls and other tourist spots in Lagayan, and Kaparkan Falls in Tineg have already opened to resident.

In Apayao, Bayugao Falls, Marag River and Hutungan Hidden Paradise started to accommodate residents.

Baguio City opened its doors tourists from Ilocos earlier and on October 22, the city is set to welcome tourists from Luzon provinces, including National Capital Region with a limit of 200 tourists a day.
