Baguio liberation exhibit

WORLD War II veteran Alberto Bugtong, 94, with Baguio City officials led by Mayor Mauricio Domogan, formally opens a photo exhibit entitled "The Baguio Liberators" at the Baguio City hall lobby on Monday, April 29.

The exhibit features the Igorot war heroes and their heroism and gallantry as they fought against the Japanese conquerors and even sacrificed their lives to attain freedom and independence during the Second World War.

The exhibit is made possible through the joint efforts of City Government of Baguio through the General Services Offices and the Sons and Daughters of the United States Armed Forces in the Philippines, Northern Luzon. (Redjie Melvic Cawis)
