Cops face blank wall in valley shooting

AUTHORITIES are conducting thorough investigation into the death of a driver on August 7 in La Trinidad, Benguet.

Police Chief Inspector Benson Macli-ing said they have yet to identify the assailant who killed Jerold Angos Pulas, 44, married and resident of Bahong, La Trinidad.

La Trinidad Police clarified that the victim was not a drug surrenderer as it announced earlier.

On August 12, chief investigator Senior Police Officer (SP03) Mario Pol-ocan talked to the relatives of the victim citing the development of the incident and asked the cooperation of the stakeholders.

Police said a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage found near the crime scene will be used in the investigation of the incident.

Initial report revealed that the victim was retrieving his momma or betel nut chew inside his vehicle when three gunshots were heard.

Shilan Barangay Captain Jefrey Maslag has appealed to the residents to help identify the assailant.
