IFUGAO slugger KJ Natuplag is keen on making a statement win against an undefeated Japanese fighter Mikino Nakano on November 2 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Still reeling from a split decision loss in his last outing against Joe Tejones of Bukidnon in June this year, Natuplag this time will make sure it will not go to the judges as he seeks his ninth victory.

The 22–year–old super featherweight had an earlier promising starts scoring eight straight victories with seven coming by way of knockout.

Natuplag scored notable victories against Ronnie Campos for the vacant Asian Boxing Federation featherweight title in 2018 and earlier sent Danilo Pena to retirement for the vacant Philippines Boxing Federation featherweight title in 2017.

Natuplag’s last victory was a technical knockout in the 5th round against Robert Udtohan of Davao del Norte in Angono, Rizal last March 8.

Nakano, on the other hand, has three wins with three knockouts.

The 24-year-old Nakano scored a 2nd round knockout over Arvin Yurong of Paranaque City at Korakuen Hall last July 6.
