University of Baguio tops SBP 3X3 U18 Regional Finals

IT WAS a University of Baguio (UB) affair in the Cordillera leg of the SBP 3X3 U18 Regional Finals.

UB Red Robbins team A downed its sister team B, 21 - 18 to rule the boys category of the two day competition backed by the Samahang Basketball ng Pilipinas.

The two Red Robbins squad meet in the finals after disposing Cubsat, and Vayrose in the semis to arrange an all UB showdown.

Cubsat meanwhile edged Vayrose, 21 - 13, to settle for third.

During the quarterfinals, Red Robbins B mangled Bulanao Tabuk City, 19 - 15 while Cubsat was unstoppable against Chupakabra, 15 - 10 with Red Robbins A edging La Trinidad 2, 21 - 13, even as Vayrose nipped Kwarog, 14 - 11.

UB Cardinals meanwhile downed Beenviancubs to top the girls category.

After topping Pool D with three wins, the Cardinals stayed undefeated all throughout the competition and drubbed Beenviancubs, 18 - 13, in the finals.

The Cardinals also disposed Nallaclub, 16-11 in the semis while Beenviancubs march to the finals after disposing the Lady Cardinals, 15 - 11.
