AFTER the success of her previous dance for a cause, Cherry May Diango, zumba instructor and teacher of the Department of Education (DepEd)-Northern Mindanao, has organized another zumba event slated this March 10.

In partnership with the Oro Builders Lady Eagles Club, Oro Builders Eagles Club, Xavier University-Ateneo de Cagayan, and the DepEd-Northern Mindanao, the “We Rock, We Dance” is a 2-hour fundraising zumba party, this time with their guest Wowie de Guzman, which will be held at the Xavier University Covered Court.

It will start at 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.

The proceeds from the event, according to Diango, will be donated to the funding of the journalism team of Cagayan de Oro City and to Diango's beneficiary, her former instructor at Xavier Univeristy School of Education, Kathleen Mallorca Morales, who is still undergoing chemotherapy because of breast cancer.

Apart from raising money, the zumba party will provide relief to teachers who are stressed from their paper works and workloads.

The ticket fee for the event costs P100 and will be participated by DepEd teachers and Philippine National Police (PNP) trainees.

“It is open to everybody but majority of it are teachers. I also have participants from PNP trainees, around 500 sila. Most probably marami talaga ang nandoon (a lot of people will be there),” Diango said.

“I hope it will be successful,” she added.

Diango, after the zumba party in Cagayan de Oro City, will also have two more events which will be held in Bukidnon.
