16 MisOr towns join Kuyamis Sportsfest 2020

AT LEAST 16 municipalities in Misamis Oriental have participated the Kuyamis Festival Sportsfest 2020 which is set to culminate next week.

The Sportsfest 2020, which kicked off in September 2019, is composed of two sports events -- basketball and volleyball.

Winning teams will receive P20,000 to P50,000 as prizes from Misamis Oriental First District Representative Christian Unabia, Gingoog City Vice Mayor Peter Unabia and other sponsors and partners.

Kuyamis Sportsfest 2020 chair President Elipe said he has made sure that more municipalities get to join and participate in the activity, which aims to promote sportsmanship, unity and camaraderie among participants regardless of political differences.

He said organizers of each category were able to successfully hold the games as scheduled despite the challenges.

The Sportsfest is part of the week-long activities of the 7th Kuyamis Festival slated on January 6 to 12, 2020.
