4 MisOr villages get P1.8M fund for various projects

THE Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental has allocated a total of P1.8 million for the four villages in the province under the Governor Yevgeny Emano’s Barangay Empowerment Program.

Of the P1.8 million fund, Rosario Village of Balingasag town received P900,000 for the construction of their covered court.

“Daku gyud kaayo among kalipay kauban sa among konseho karun nga mamauli tungod kay dili mag uli na masulob-on kay nakadala kami sa maong kantidad aron makatukod na kami sa among covered court, labi na gyud na gamit kaayo ni para sa amuang barangay,” captain Richard Balista of Rosario Village said.

Captain Jaime Cuanan of Kauswagan Village, Lagonglong also expressed his gratitude to the provincial government as he received P300,000 for road concreting project in their barangay.

Tinangaan Village, Salay and Montejo Village in Pangpangon, Talisayan each received P300,000 which will be used for their water system project and farm-to-market road.

The Barangay Empowerment Program is an initiative focused on the development of the 424 barangays in Misamis Oriental.

Under this program, the barangay captains and officials will be the one to decide what projects they will implement in their respective villages.
