49 NMMC healthcare workers recover from Covid-19

A TOTAL of 78 healthcare workers of the Northern Mindanao Medical Center (NMMC) have tested positive for coronavirus as of Wednesday, October 28, liaison officer Dr. Bernard Rocha said.

Of the 78 coronavirus-positive frontliners, 49 have recovered, with 29 of them already reporting back to work.

Rocha said that at present, only one of the coronavirus-positive healthcare workers is admitted at the NMMC while the others are staying at the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility.

"Ang pasabot ana ang atong mga healthcare workers, dili kinahanglan na i-admit sa NMMC. They are asymptomatic to mild lang," Rocha said.

Meanwhile, 27 coronavirus-positive persons were transferred to the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility, two of whom are patients admitted at the NMMC, four are patients from the JR Borja General Hospital, 16 are from the city isolation units, four who were under home quarantine, and one from an isolation facility.

The City Health Office has also recorded 53 barangays with Covid-19 local cases.

"Kung apilon nato ang mga kaso sa LSIs, ROFs apil ang atong mga PDLs (persons deprived of liberty), we have 63 barangays all in all nga naay mga kaso sa Covid-19," Acting City Health Officer Dr. Lorraine Nery said.
