THE Task Force Safe, Accurate, Free and Fair Election (Safe) of the 4th Infantry Division (4ID) is all set for the 2022 National and Local Elections on May 9, 2022.

According to Task Force Safe Deputy Commander Lieutenant Colonel Victor-Czar Villanueva, they already laid down their security preparations in coordination with the Commission on Elections and their Philippine National Police counterparts.

They have also continued their deployment plans, including the contingency measures for any eventuality.

On May 2, members of the Regional Joint Security Control Center convened for its fifth and final command conference at the Multi-Purpose Building, Barangay Pigcarangan, Tubod, Lanao del Norte. They also discussed updates on election preparations, deployment of troops and contingency measures in potential hotspot areas.

Villanueva encouraged the public to be vigilant and actively participate in the electoral process. He also urged them to report any activity that may disrupt the upcoming polls.

Major General Wilbur Mamawag, 4ID commander, for his part, assured that the people of Northern Mindanao can bank on the 4ID's full support to make the election as orderly as possible.

"We reaffirm our commitment and professionalism in performing our mandate to protect every citizen's right of suffrage, preserve the sanctity of the ballot, respect for human rights, while adhering to the non-partisanship of the command," Mamawag said.
