4Ps beneficiaries in Oro receive cash grant

BENEFICIARIES of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from the different barangays of Cagayan de Oro City has received the conditional cash grant from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Northern Mindanao on Tuesday, January 22, at the city hall quadrangle.

A total of 4,597 members of the 4Ps program from the 68 villages in the city benefited from the cash grant.

This includes those from Barangays 1 to 40, Canitoan, Kauswagan, Agusan, Balubal, F.S. Catanico, Tablon, Baikingon, Bayabas, Cugman, Patag, Consolacion, Macabalan, Gusa, Iponan, Pagatpat, Puerto, San Simon, Bugo, Indahag, Macasanding, Carmen, Bonbon, Camaman-an, Nazareth, Bulua, Lapasan, Balulang, and Puntod.

The 4Ps program is a human development measure of the National Government that provides conditional cash grants to the poorest of the poor, to improve the health, nutrition, and the education of children aged 0 to 18.

Patterned after the conditional cash transfer scheme implemented in other developing countries, the Pantawid Pamilya provides cash grants to beneficiaries provided that they comply with the set of conditions required by the program.
