Active cases in Oro drop as daily new cases stays below 30

THE City Health Office Thursday, October 28, reported 13 new cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), marking seven consecutive days of less than 30 daily infections.

The relatively lower cases brought the number of active Covid cases down to 634, 194 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 437 were outpatients, and three ROFs/LSIs.

Of the 13 new confirmed cases, eight were local index cases, one was a close contact of a previously confirmed case, two were local authorized persons outside residence (Apors), and two were Apors with link.

The 13 new local cases brought the cumulative number of infections in the city to 20,127.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 48 new coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered." This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 18,657.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city remains at 836 with zero new Covid deaths.
