Active Covid-19 cases in Cagayan de Oro now at 1,347

THE City Health Office of Cagayan de Oro has seen a slight decline in the number of new Covid-19 cases and active infections.

The number of active coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases in Cagayan de Oro has gone down to 1,347.

As of 10 p.m. Monday, June 21, the City Health Office recorded 45 new cases, 10 of which are local cases with link, one is a local authorized person outside residence (Apor), one is an Apor with link, 31 are local index cases, and two are mortalities.

This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 9,503.

The city's active cases, on the other hand, were composed of 336 who were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 1,011 outpatients.

Cagayan de Oro also registered 78 Covid-19 patients who have recovered from the disease, bringing the total recoveries to 7,733.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city is now at 423.

Meanwhile, the total number of coronavirus-positive individuals in Cagayan de Oro has reached 720, according to the report of city epidemiologist Dr. Joselito Retuya on Tuesday, June 22.

Retuya said of the 720 vaccinees, 502 were vaccinated with Sinovac vaccine, 204 were vaccinated with AstraZeneca, seven with Pfizer, five with Sputnik V, and two Sinopharm.
