THE City Health Office (CHO) has recorded no additional persons under monitoring (PUMs) and patients under investigation (PUIs) with mild symptoms in Cagayan de Oro City on Wednesday, April 1.

But Dr. Joselito Retuya, the CHO epidemiologist, said the community development volunteers who finished their orientation last Tuesday, March 31, have done their initial reports on their house-to-house surveillance for influenza-like symptoms and will have to be validated and verified first.

"By the end of this day, posible nga duna tay madugang sa atong PUMs and PUIs, depending on the result on the verification and validation of the reports coming from our volunteers," Retuya said during the regular press conference on Thursday, April 2.

As of April 1, there are a total of 39 PUMs and three PUIs with mild symptoms in Cagayan de Oro City, CHO Officer-in-Charge Dr. Lorraine Nery reported.

There are also a total of 64 barangays that have established their isolation units, Nery added.

She also called for the cooperation of the public, especially those who have history of travel from areas with Covid-19 positive cases or with local transmission to contact their respective Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (Bhert).

"Kung naa moy history of travel to areas nga naay local transmission or kung naa moy history of contact to a person nga gi-tag nato as PUI or PUM, if you think you are one of those persons, please report to your Bherts or you can call directly the CHO hotline number," Nery said.
