Drug charges filed vs curfew violator in Oro

POLICE filed drug charges against a curfew violator in Cagayan de Oro City.

A 29-year-old man identified as Basilio Tanosa, resident of Balubal, this city was arrested while authorities are conducting routine functions in relation to the implementation of curfew in the city.

The suspect was caught having in possession a sachet of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

“Filed na kaso RA 916 absorbed sa larger penalty iya kaso giatubang,” Major Evan Vinas, spokesperson of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) said.

Meanwhile, city police director Colonel Henry Dampal has reminded members of the Cocpo to refrain from receiving the government’s social amelioration package.

The Cocpo chief also directed all station commanders to flag down marked vehicle coming from other provincial and city police offices.

“The same will be scrutinized, aligned with the memorandum issued by PBGen Rolando Anduyan,” Cocpo said in a statement.

“Cocpo personnel are reminded to always be guided of the IATF guidelines,” it added.
