POLICE are eyeing "love triangle" as possible motive in the killing of a 52-year-old farmer in a far-flung community in Sta. Felomina, Quezon, Bukidnon Tuesday night, March 3.

The victim was identified as Pederillo Coca Sr., a resident of Lagdik 8, Barangay Sta. Felomina.

Investigation disclosed that while the victim was cooking inside his shanty, two unidentified persons asked for a glass of water.

But when the water is being served, the assailants suddenly shot the victim several times, hitting different parts of his body.

The victim's minor son, who was at the room, jumped out of the window and sought help from their distant neighbors.

Recovered from the cadaver's body was a deformed fired bullet of caliber 9mm pistol.

Quezon town police chief Major Mitchel Clemencio said investigators are looking into love triangle as possible motive in the incident.

"Ang among gitan-aw karon is love triangle kay naay kabit ni siya ug minyo pud nga taga Sta. Felomina (We're looking into love triangle as possible motive, as the victim also has a mistress, who is also married and from Sta. Felomina)," he said.

Police are exhausting all means to identify and arrest the perpetrators.
