New coronavirus infections in Oro at 5

THE City Health Office recorded five new coronavirus infections in Cagayan de Oro, bringing the cumulative caseload to 20,405.

Of the five new confirmed cases, three were local index cases, one was a close contact of a previously confirmed case, and one mortality.

Cagayan de Oro also recorded a drop in the number of active cases, which is at 188. Of the figure, 44 were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, and 144 were outpatients.

The number of coronavirus-positive persons who were now tagged as "recovered" increased after the city registered seven new recoveries. This brought the total number of recoveries in Cagayan de Oro to 19,367.

The number of Covid-19 deaths in the city reached 850.
