SEVERAL villages in Cagayan de Oro City will experience low pressure to no water supply for around 16 hours on Tuesday, March 5.

This after the Cagayan de Oro Bulkwater Inc. (Cobi) has announced that it would conduct installation of 600MM diameter flowmeter for the east pipeline along with valves and additional stub-outs.

The Cobi said the flowmeter will provide accurate and regular flow data from the east pipeline while the valves and stub-outs are designed for future pipe extensions and expansion.

The activity will cause temporary water service interruption from 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5 to 2 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6.

Affected areas are barangays 1 to 40, Macasandig, Nazareth, Consolacion, Camaman-an, Lapasan, Gusa, Puntod and Macabalan.

The Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD) has advised all concessionaires in the affected areas to store enough water for their consumption during the interruption period.

The COWD has assured that all efforts will be taken to restore normal water supply the soonest possible time.
