Among the three new candidates under the PDP-Laban administration party are Agusan barangay chair Andrew Milleza, and Girlie Balaba, former media personality in Davao for the 2nd district, and son of incumbent Councilor Annie Daba, Jun Daba for the 1st district.

The 2 former councilors who will make a comeback include Roger Abaday for the 1st district and lawyer Edgar Cabanlas for the 2nd district.

For the re-electionists in the 1st district, the list includes Councilors Reuben Daba, George Goking, Edna Dahino, Jay Pascual, Romeo Calizo, and Zaldy Ocon.

For the 2nd district, re-electionists include Councilors Ian Mark Nacaya, Teodulfo Lao Jr., Suzette Magtajas-Daba, Dr. Ma. Lourdes Gaane, and Enrico Salcedo.

Still, Vice Mayor Joaquin 'Kikang' Uy will seek reelection while his father, 1st District Representative Rolando 'Klarex' Uy will try his luck again at the Congress for his last term.

Moreno's team fielded Liga ng mga Barangay president Alam Lim to be the 2nd District Representative.

Moreno said his team is a good combination and his choice for the new contenders made the party gain more strength.

"I picked them because I've seen their performance, character," he said.

"Our battle cry is ipursue ang pag-abag. We are very much inspired by the successes tungod sa pagtinabangay. We have seen unsa ang kagubot sa legislative and executive sauna but because of the teamwork we have emerged stronger. We are now one team, one mission, and one direction," he added.
