ANTI-ILLEGAL drug operatives have arrested three persons inside a room of a “short-time” hotel along Kauswagan highway, Cagayan de Oro City Monday, March 9, and seized more than P300,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride).

Arrested were Imran Ampoan, 23, resident of Pagalamatan Bombaran, Lanao del Sur; Maomao Macarampat, 22, of Mabasa, Barangay Balulang; and a female companion identified as Elma Jane Viador, 19, of Bantiles Bugo, both in Cagayan de Oro City.

Confiscated from the suspects were sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 50 grams and worth about P340,000.

Police have been tailing the suspects for two weeks.

They were tagged as high-value individuals (HVI) in the illegal drug trade due to the value of the confiscated items recovered upon arrest.

Lieutenant Colonel Mardy Hortillosa, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Northern Mindanao, said the result of the drug test on the three suspects is not yet out as of Tuesday.

Meanwhile, another drug personality classified as HVI upon arrest was arrested in a drug bust in Pueblo Business Park, Upper Carmen, this city.

The suspect was identified as Alexander Crabajales, 19, resident of Calaanan, Canitoan.

Police said the suspect’s companion evaded arrest during the operation.

Seized from his possession were 27 grams of suspected shabu worth around P183,000.

All the arrested drug personalities are now detained and will face drug charges.
