ABOITIZ Construction Inc. (ACI) signed a memorandum of agreement with MetroPac Movers Inc. (MMI) to master plan, design and construct the South Mega Distribution Center, a modern logistics hub that will rise along a stretch of land in General Trias, Cavite.

The construction arm of Aboitiz & Company has clinched a deal with Metro Pacific-led MMI to build one of the largest storage and distribution hubs in the country. Initially, ACI will prepare the masterplan and basic design for the development of the massive logistics facility sprawled over 202,000 square meters.

South Mega DC is the first of a series of logistics infrastructure that ACI will build for MMI. Once completed, the logistics infrastructure will advance business and communities as it facilitates the movement of products and goods nationwide, stimulate local economic activity, and provide thousands of jobs in South Luzon.

MMI has also engaged the services of DCCD Engineering Corp. as project manager for the project. (PR)
