TAPOK—An intimate gathering, for one night only

Sunnexdesk

EXPERIENCE the music, culture, and the best of Bisaya in an intimate gathering with some of the city’s foremost artists: Kurt Fick, Jerika Teodorico, Lourdes Maglinte, and DJ sets by DYHA.

TAPOK promises to be more than just the usual “gig.” Rather, it's a night of celebrating the art and nuances of Bisaya music and talents. Other than the performers themselves, TAPOK’s entire creative force—from its technical team to the many multidisciplinary artists involved—hails from Cebu City and its neighboring Bisaya-speaking areas.

Relish the sounds of the artist’s live and stripped-down performances of their hidden gems— lesser-known, yet equally brilliantly written Visayan Pop (VisPop) songs, accompanied by immersive visuals displayed on the surrounding LED walls.

In-between performances, audience members are welcome to partake in drinks and snacks from The Distillery and other food and beverage partners.

During the 2023 Sinulog week, Vispop successfully produced a larger, free show at the Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu. TAPOK is the first edition of Vispop Sessions—ticketed, smaller events where friends and familiar strangers can gather and share in deeper connections, love, and respect for all that is Bisaya.

TAPOK will be staged at The Playground, From Here, Crossroads Banilad, on February 11, 2023 at 7 p.m. As of February 4, the show is officially SOLD OUT, but you may follow TAPOK on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for more updates.

TAPOK is Sponsored by VideoHub, Apple One Properties, MakeIT Studios Philippines, The ABACA Group, Querk Design and Associates, Yook Philippines, and FROM HERE Co- working. Special thanks to COOEE, Good Cup Coffee Co, Vangails Perfect Union, Sien, Jameson Irish Whiskey, and Mayor John-John Garcia. Media Partners include BaiTV, SunStar Cebu, and G-Spot. (PR)
