Espina: Hall of fame

Mila C. Espina

THE consummate artists, Ingrid Sala Santamaria and Fe Sala Villarica are icons of artistic perfection. In stagecraft, pioneers were Allan Rabaya and Claude Evangelio, my students in then Colegio de San Jose-Recoletos (now University of San Jose-Recoletos), both perfectionists in theater craft.

Msgr. Rudy Villanueva and Benjie Diola are in the Hall of Fame. The younger generation sees both as models. And Resil Mojares is the literature and writer master.

Young online entrepreneurs

Long before the Covid-19 lockdown crippled our economy, online entrepreneurship among the young was already gaining ground. Some started with small-scale merchandising, and then ventured to the more lucrative food businesses like selling homegrown fruits and veggies, kitchen dishes, home-baked pastries, even groceries. All these, with home delivery.

Instead of driving to the grocery or market, you can tap our tireless young business circle to get your favorite items delivered at your doorstep. Very practical, indeed! This arrangement suits small families.

Competition has been stiff. These friends in online business focus on their specialties, each with his choice products and partners, if any, from the wholesale circle.

They also have their specific market, like the working mothers, busy professionals, lodgers and boarders, civic, government and business groups. They also help minimize your budget for electric and water bills, groceries, cooking time and fatigue. During this crucial situation where our mobility is limited, online marketing is truly helpful.
