Espina: June celebrations

Mila C. Espina

JUNE came so fast!

Marco Polo Plaza Cebu had its annual theme buffet for Independence Day. Radisson Blu Cebu featured “Something Blu,” a bridal fair showcasing bridal collections by top designers held at The Northwing atrium of SM City Cebu.

Wedding anniversaries were spent here and abroad, like those of my ideal couple, Julius and Nelia Neri, and Josenians Bess and Dennis Villamor.

The Marcelo B. Fernan Cebu Press Center was the venue of the Public Speaking workshop by Speechcom Summer 2019, Batch 2.

The Gaisanos gathered to celebrate the second death anniversary of Joseph Gaisano. There was a mass at the St. Therese of the Child Jesus parish followed by lunch at the New White Gold House. Joseph will always be remembered as one of the propellers of the Doña Modesta S. Gaisano Foundation scholarships, the Cebu City Tourism Commission, past president of Philippines Foundation Inc. and WeCare Foundation, supporter of many charitable projects, sponsor of many cultural performances abroad of schools like the University of San Jose-Recoletos and others.
