Espina: Yuletide events

Mila C. Espina

THE Yuletide season is a celebration of all sorts, and food plays a major role: Filipinos love to eat and our local food caters to all tastes!

This holiday season, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu offers festive local and international meals. I really had one of my “best breakfasts ever” at Cafe Marco. I loved the danggit, local longaniza and bangus, with a mixture of achara and fresh vegetable salad. Fresh fruits and juices made my day.

We Care president Ramon Sebastian had rich Chinese courses during his birthday at all-time favorite New White Gold House restaurant. We loved the fresh steamed fish, dried and tasty pancit, and the crispy lechon. No other resto has the best “buchi” as its dessert.

Abaca Baking Company invited us to its 10th branch at the Baseline Center, Juana Osmeña St., Cebu City. It has a coffee shop, all-day dining and banquet packages. It was a pleasure meeting Bigseed PR who took care of us, while we waited for the Abaca executives who informed us about the food and services of Abaca.
