Pogs holds webinar, campaigns to end Violence against Women and Children

IN celebration of the 18-day campaign to end Violence Against Women, the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (Pogs) committee on gender-based violence, together with Region 7 and Cebu Pogs, will be having a webinar on Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) on Nov. 25, 2021 at 8 a.m. to 12nn.

Topics to be discussed: “The Child Victim-Survivor” by Dr. Bernadette J. Madrid; “Gender Sensitivity” by Dr. Sharon Gianan-Cruz; “Management of Violence Against Women” by Dr. Madeline G. Amadora; and “Testifying In Court” by Dr. Lynette Lu-Lasala.

Pogs will also present its experience on “Setting Up Women and Children Protection Desk” among hospitals here in Region 7, to be presented by Dr. Mary Beth de los Santos, and the Presentation of the Pink Handbook by Dr. Pherdes E. Galbo. There will be a book launching on Gender-Based Violence Manual and a united pledge on Cebu Declaration of Support to End VAWC.
