Utzurrum: Anjo World at last!

Chinggay V. Utzurrum

“WOW! Snow in Cebu!”

Believe me, we now have a winter attraction— “Snow World,” the first outside Metro Manila, when Anjo World Theme Park opened recently in Minglanilla, Cebu. And that’s not all. The park has 12 other entertaining, thrilling, heart-stopping rides within its vast complex. There are the usual food stalls and other activity areas.

It was during the holiday season that Anjo World opened its doors to the public with VIP guests: Belmont One (owner of Anjo World) president Chester Lim, Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia and Minglanilla Mayor Elanito Peña, among others.

According to Lim: “We want this park to be the next family destination. Our rides are imported from accredited manufacturers abroad who are members of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, ensuring not just an exhilarating experience but more importantly, a safe and secure one.”

Let me mention some of the adult rides: “The Pharaoh,” an Egyptian spinning coaster—so unique; The 25-meter “Tower Drop;” “Boomerang” (frisbee); “Hip hip” (Go Go Bouncer); “Space Shuttle” and “The Viking.”

The kids also have their favorites: “Bumper Boats;” “Mr. Cup,” “London Taxi” (Bumper Cars); “Mr. Toad” and the “Golden Carousel.”

Games? There’s the Funtastic Arena, to test your “hidden” skills and win plush toys! And after you’ve “climbed” the 200-foot Ferris Wheel, “shivered” at Snow World, and experienced the adrenaline-rush, you must be getting hungry... Head on over to “Caffe Colosseo,” where you can relish Italian and western fare with a Cebuano twist!

So, for a safe, secure and exciting adventure, there’s nothing like Anjo World!
