WITH the overwhelming popularity of the Original Sirao Garden Little Amsterdam—located on a hilly summit in barangay Sirao, Busay, much in demand for TV “teleseryes” and a number of motion picture on-location shoots etc.—the flower theme park has indeed attracted the right kind of attention.

Earlier this year, no less than Dr. Mina Gabor, chairperson of the International School of Sustainable Tourism, and her staff dropped by for a look-see, and liked what they saw!

The group will undoubtedly endorse the theme park as a future tourism destination. What impressed them was the symmetrical growth and lushness of the blooms!

On another occasion, it was the hyperactive government group, the Cebu City Tourism Commission (CCTC), who visited the theme park, to assess the area as still another “must-see” in our islands.

A definite “must-see” is the Sto. Niño shrine, patron of the park; the dreamy, English Tea house (for tea and scones); and as you wander along the well-planned concrete pathways (safe and user-friendly), there are cozy nooks and colorful gazebos to relax in or take photos of. The area has even become a favorite background for selfies and romantic pre-nup shots.

Don’t forget before leaving, do appreciate the two huge signature windmills. After all, you’re bidding goodbye to Little Amsterdam!
