1 additional Covid-19 case in Talisay City

TALISAY City has recorded one new case of coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Mayor Gerald Anthony "Samsam" Gullas Jr. said the new patient is a 28-year-old female from Sitio Tunga in Barangay Tanke.

The patient is a health worker of a hospital in Cebu City. She took a swab test last May 18, 2020.

Gullas said when the patient returned to Talisay, she informed the authorities about her condition. She was then put in an isolation facility.

Gullas said the patient will be transferred to another facility, as well as her husband.

The tracing of the patient's direct contacts is now ongoing.

Talisay City now has 41 positive cases, wherein 14 are due to contact tracing of the previous positive cases.

The city also has six deaths and one recovery. (JCT)
