13 barangays to get cars from City Hall

ANOTHER batch of barangays in Cebu City will get their donated vehicles from the Cebu City Government.

This, after the City Council approved on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 13 separate resolutions authorizing Mayor Tomas Osmeña to sign the deed of donation and acceptance for the vehicles in behalf of the City Government.

Barangay Inayawan will get three vehicles, while Barangay Labangon will get two vehicles. Barangays Punta Princesa, Kalunasan, Poblacion Pardo, Kinasang-an, Tabunan, Mambaling, San Nicolas Proper, Sapangdaku, Sawang Calero, Sudlon II and Sinsin will get one vehicle each. Of the 13 barangays, only Kalunasan is allied with the opposition party, Barug PDP Laban.

Earlier, the Council authorized the mayor to sign the deed of donation of vehicles for 25 barangays. Another set of resolutions covered 13 more barangays.

The City Council will have to approve 29 more deeds of donation and acceptance to allow the remaining 29 of the 80 barangays to own vehicles from the City Government. (RVC)
