THREE fraternity members were arrested after they allegedly forced two minors to use shabu in Sitio Ilihan, Barangay Simala, Sibonga yesterday. The suspects were identified as Michael Olanda, 20; Marvin Aliponga, 19; and Armel Cuizon, 22. Their other cohort Archel Lambayan, 19, escaped.

Senior Insp. Stephen Amamag-id, the town police chief, said the suspects are members of Alpha Kappa Rho (Akrho) and that they denied the allegations.

The minors in question are girls, ages 11 and 12. Both are residents of Carcar City. Before the incident happened, the girls reportedly met their fellow fraternity members in Barangay Poblacion, Sibonga last Tuesday night. The group had a drinking binge.

The suspects then forced the girls to accompany them to Ilihan yesterday dawn. The minors at first refused. But Amamag-id said the girls went with the suspects, who had threatened to kill them.

Drug paraphernalia were seized from the suspects after their arrest. They will face complaints for violating the laws against illegal drugs and child abuse. (KAL)
