Bathalad Cebu selects 10 creative writing fellows

THE Bathalan-ong Halad sa Dagang (Bathalad) Cebu has chosen 10 fellows for the fourth edition of its creative writing workshop on Feb. 23-24, 2020.

The literary activity will be at the Handuraw Pizza Events Cafe, Mango Square Mall on Juana Osmeña St. in Cebu City.

For this year, the fellows are Mary Rose Ampoon, Mikaela Jane Dagani, Ebbo Dwight Devora, Leo Bob Flores, Al Osiris Ingking, Famila Jimenez, Daphne Tuason-Manigos, Joji Ogaob, Leonil Quillo and Christia Mae Rodriguez.

The panelists for the workshop are poet-diplomat Vicente Bandillo, fictionist Carlos Cortés, fictionist Januar Yap, Bisaya Magazine editor Richel Dorotan, lexicographer Edgar Godin, Cebuano Studies Center director Hope Sabanpan-Yu and poets Jeremiah Bondoc and Noel Villaflor.

Lamberto Ceballos, one of Bathalad's vanguards, will also grace the event as a guest panelist.

Richellet Chan, who also works at Bisaya magazine, will reprise her role as the workshop moderator.
