Ceres bus catches fire in Mandaue

A CERES Liner bus with a plate number GXS 634 caught fire Monday night, May 23, along Basak highway in Mandaue City, Cebu.

The incident caused traffic in the area around 6 p.m. Monday.

One of the witnesses, Rosemarie Villarial, said she saw smoke coming from the front side of the bus, then there was fire.

The bus was plying the Talamban-Parkmall route.

No casualties were reported from the incident.

Investigation as to what caused the blaze is ongoing. (HIC)
