A COLLEGE student of a university in Mandaue City was caught selling marijuana in a police operation in Barangay Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City.

Braiel “Bolong” Absin, 22, was caught in a buy-bust by a team from Lapu-Lapu Police Station (LPS) in Sitio Segunda at 2:20 p.m. last Tuesday.

Chief Insp. Wayne Magbanua, chief of LPS 2, said that Absin had been supplying marijuana to customers, including some out-of-school youth.

Magbanua said he believes that Absin has been selling marijuana for about a year.

Before the arrest, a police decoy bought dried marijuana leaves placed in a rolled scrap of paper from Absin.

During the arrest, authorities found three packets of the same prohibited drug on the suspect.

Absin is now detained in the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office holding cell.

A case for violating Republic Act 9165 will be filed against the suspect on Monday. (FMG)
