OVER P2.6 million worth of illegal drugs were confiscated by the authorities within seven hours of anti-illegal drug operations in Cebu City on July 12 to 13, 2019.

Members of the Pardo Police station nabbed a certain Ray Ann Tisoy alias “Anne,” 20, at around 10:10 p.m. Friday, July 12.

Tisoy, a resident of Hawod Compound, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City, yielded 250 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.7 million, a Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) value.

P/Maj. Regino Maramag, Pardo police chief, said they had been monitoring Tisoy for a month (before they arrested her in an entrapment operation) after they arrested her boyfriend, Niño Camacho, who is now detained at the Cebu City Jail.

Maramag said Camacho also yielded 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000.

“Tisoy has resumed her boyfriend’s illegal drug operations. We are still investigating on the illegal drugs source,” he said.

At around 4:30 a.m. of July 13, Labangon operatives, led by P/Maj. Henrix Bancoleta, also arrested taxi driver Celso Tormis, 37, and mechanic Miguel Canoy, 30. Both are from Barili, Cebu.

Recovered from Tormis were seven packs of suspected shabu, while recovered from Canoy were five sachets of suspected shabu, all worth P204,000.

Thirty minutes later, the Labangon police also nabbed two habal-habal drivers and a trisikad driver during a separate operation on Bayanihan St., Barangay Quiot.

The habal-habal drivers were identified as Wilfredo Allarse, 32, and Jonathan Baclayon, 25. The trisikad driver was identified as Eugene Añora, 25.

They yielded eight large sachets of suspected shabu weighing 110 grams with DDB value of P748,000.

All the arrested suspects were brought under investigation.

Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) director Gemma Vinluan said she was happy with the result of their operations.

She said she aims to totally eradicate drugs in Cebu City so they could declare drug-free barangays. (FROM AYB OF SUPERBALITA CEBU WITH WBS)
