THE personnel from of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 7’s Carmen Brackishwater Fish Farm (CBFF) and the Cebu Provincial Fishery Office travelled to Camotes Islands on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020, to transport the fishery inputs that the bureau had earlier committed to the Cebu Technological University (CTU)-San Francisco.

CBFF head Joel Clapano said the facility set aside some 10,000 fingerlings of milkfish (bangus) and 10 bags of starter feeds for the university, which is maintaining an offshore fish cage near the campus.

Clapano further said the university had requested for these inputs from BFAR 7 Director Allan Poquita, who promised the CTU management he would grant its request.

The CBFF was then tapped for the provision of fishery inputs that will augment the campus’ pond operation and support the educational demonstration farm for the CTU students.
