ONE week after he was in Cebu to distribute aid to fire victims, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso will be in Cebu again this Monday, December 6, to grace the Sugbo Negosyo Awarding Ceremony with Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia at the Capitol.

Moreno has accepted the invitation of Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) President Steven Yu, who invited the presidential aspirant to the event after Moreno announced that he will be using the Sugbo Negosyo as a model for the recovery of medium, small and micro enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.

The MCCI has been Governor Gwendolyn Garcia’s partner in implementing the Sugbo Negosyo Program in Cebu Province.

"We hope this event will help you better understand the program and how it has helped reboot the livelihood of the Cebuanos and further improve the local economy," Yu stated in his November 29 invitation letter to Moreno.

The awarding of winners will be held at 4 PM at the Provincial Capitol.

Earlier, Moreno announced that Governor Garcia’s "Sugbo Negosyo" is a "brilliant and doable idea" and that he will use this as a model for a program to help MSMEs recover from the pandemic.

This will be Moreno’s second visit to the Provincial Capitol in about a month. On November 5, he also paid a courtesy call to Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia and visited the Cebu CFI Cooperative. (PR)
