THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 will provide office space for the personnel of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) 7 after the second floor of their office at the North Reclamation Area in Cebu City was hit by fire past midnight Sunday, Oct. 27, 2019.

Victor Caindec, LTO 7 director, said he is willing to set aside one of the available spaces at the LTO 7 office on N. Bacalso Ave.

He said he already spoke with LTFRB 7 Director Eduardo Montealto Jr. and LTFRB Chairman Martin Delgra about his plan.

However, Caindec said the LTFRB 7 personnel might encounter difficulty in their electrical and communication connections as the LTO 7 has no more cables left after it transferred to its new office in Mandaue City.

Caindec said they could prepare the space for the LTFRB 7 after All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days on Nov. 1-2.

In a separate interview, Montealto said that while they are looking for an available space to transfer the LTFRB 7’s operations, he is making sure that their services would not be hampered, especially on the incoming holidays when several public utility vehicle operators would be asking for special permits.

For now, Montealto said they will be holding office temporarily at Robinsons Galleria, particularly in a space previously used by the LTO 7. (From HBL of SuperBalita Cebu, JKV)
