A MAN is in critical condition after he was shot in the head in Sitio Cabancalan 2, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City on Monday night, December 5, 2022.

Staff Sergeant Elijah Jihad Catacutan of the Inayawan Police Station identified the victim as 54-year-old Armando National, a resident of the sitio.

Based on their initial investigation, National was berating Gilbert Milan Jr., a former neighbor, when Milan allegedly shot him around 9:30 p.m.

Catacutan said residents heard several loud bangs, which they initially thought came from firecrackers. But when they checked, they saw one man running to the side of the road. They also saw another man believed to be the gunman fleeing the scene.

He said the victim’s son Steve used his father’s motorcycle to take him to the Talisay District Hospital.

Catacutan said they still need to establish a motive for the shooting since National and Milan were known to be friends. (BBT/PJB)
