Morning ambush in Bilar, Bohol results in death of bank employee

A BANK employee on his way to work was killed in Barangay Cansumbol, Bilar town, Bohol on Tuesday morning, September 20, 2022.

Corporal Mark Christian Villagonzalo, desk officer of the Bilar Police Station, identified the victim as 39-year-old Allen Torreon Rosales, a resident of Barangay Zamora in the town.

According to their initial investigation, the victim was driving his motorcycle and heading for the neighboring town of Carmen where the bank is located when he was ambushed at 8:10 a.m.

Villagonzalo said Rosales was being followed by another motorcycle carrying two men.

He said the passenger started shooting at Rosales, which caused the latter to fall on the ground.

Residents brought Rosales, who sustained several gunshot wounds, to the Carmen District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
