‘One-stop shop’ for taxes established at Hoops Dome

THE Lapu-Lapu City Government has initiated measures to ensure that business owners who want to secure their business permits or to pay their taxes won’t have to wait long at City Hall.

Part of their measures includes reducing the transaction time at City Hall to less than an hour.

Aside from that, the City Government initiated its first off-site business permit renewal at the Hoops Dome in Barangay Gun-ob.

The Hoops Dome was chosen as the ideal site for the off-site business permit renewal due to its large floor area, which can accomodate many taxpayers.

Felicitas Baguio, Lapu-Lapu City treasurer, told SunStar Cebu that the “one-stop shop” they established at the Hoops Dome aims to ensure that business owners will no longer travel far to secure the requirements they need to get their business permit or to pay their taxes.

The “one-stop shop” also issues barangay clearances. This is just one of many services it offers.

The Lapu-Lapu City Government’s initiative is in compliance with the directive of President Rodrigo Duterte to promote the ease of doing business in all local government units nationwide. (FVQ / JKV)
